i.e. everyone gets ranked no matter how bad you suck.
The deal with write ups is this. Only people who I have something interesting to say about get them. If all I have to say is "i liek teh way u vote in the uul LOL" then you get nothing. ¬_¬
Below 450 are people I really don't care for, so expect the hate rants coming up next. ^_~

First of all congrats dude for doing so well in the contest. Awww yeah etc. I'd also like to add that I'm pretty glad to say that there's no users that I "hate". Not meaning to sound like a suck up "OMG I LOVE EVERYONE" kind of Icehawk gag. What I mean by that is there are users I don't like, users who are annoying pretty much all the time. Of course there is, I don't believe anyone who says that they like everyone on the board. But I wouldn't dislike anyone to the extent to say that I'd block them or anything.
With that explained now onto why you've usurped Slowflake's position at the bottom!
A lot of reasons really. Lets start with the most recent. You won the guru contest, nice. As a reward you're given the chance to pick a game and character that we'll all rally behind come next contest. Your choice? The guy from Assassin's Creed. Yes a game that's not even out, a character that hasn't been sampled is judged to be good enough. hmm. >_>
The other half of your prize was a more logical yet more annoying pick for me. A Mega Man game. ¬_¬
Onto your personality. You're really confrontational. If someone says something you don't like you will tear into them. And yeah sometimes that's justified. In the stats topic though? Honestly it's people like you who hang around that topic tearing strips out people's interpretations that makes it such a hostile thread. It used to be a fun place to hang around but it's not any longer with a mixture of people who care too much and the easily antagonized.
Aside from that you're arrogant, loud, crude and an all round pain in the ass.

Saying that MuffinMan is incredibly negative is like declaring the sky as blue and expecting a shocked reaction from your audience. But just because it's obvious doesn't mean it's ok. He's critical of everything, he whines about a lot of things and his "positive" contributions come in the form of recycling Icehawk jokes or making the 45th MerSHINEsess topic of the day.

Unlike the other two I've listed so far I do believe that Leonhart is probably a very, very nice person. Ulti's sang his praises on many occasions and I trust his judgement. But this list is about my dealings with people and I guess I've just always been on the wrong side of him. it's too bad, but he was another reason why I wasn't a big fan of the stats topic community. >_>
Seems to have left now for good, I think.

If you want to play some really controversial character with a lust for church girls and guitar riffs, thats fine really it is. A week, maybe 2. It's all in good fun!
But SDR has flogged what I can only hope and pray is a joke persona for what has been years at this stage. He never varies his approach at all. It's basically the same thing day in, day out for 2 years. o_0
Either get a new gimmick or quit flogging a decapitated horse.

Curt is this guy who seems to come across like his sole purpose in life is to harvest attention at every possible junction. And ok we all like attention but most of us put some effort into getting it. Curt is lazy at those stakes and generally just hands out weak attempt after weak attempt to stand out.
And while I'll be the first to admit he's not very likable. He certainly is intriguing. Trolls of old might target Ulti, Kawaii, tranny. People with status. Curt? Curt goes an odd route and targets joe averages like Stifled.
He also does loads of needless attention grabbing topics (draw comparison with this topic and I will end you <3) like promising to close his account, then the dramatics of closing the account, then returning like a day later and being all "hey luk im back". There's just something very pantomime about everything Curt does. Simply put, he tries too hard.

Ugh yet another annoying stats topic guy here. BT rampages through stats topics hyping up his own personal favorite characters to ridiculous levels, attempting to spread propaganda about them having inaccurate strength at all times.
And like a tumour it'd be acceptable if the disease could be contained within a certain, but no this user is Malignant. Spreading to other areas of the board infecting them with his stupid propaganda topics.

Like SDR his gimmick was once cute and funny. Now everyone's tired of it and it's lame. Ok we get it, he likes Tomba. Does he really need to remind us virtually every night with "omg tomba rockz" topics?
And then theres the way he says theres 13 rexcowbams or something. Whats that all about? >_>

Kira was this mildly annoying troll in the past who popped up now and again annoying some people (apparently) nothing major. Then he lost a bet, and was supposed to close his account and didn't and suddenly it's Crimson Hellkite all over again. Lucky for Kira he had no real credibility to lose by not closing it and proceeded to essentially rub everyones faces in this fact......for months after. This was easily the most annoying aspect to him, he drew the idiots out of people enticing thread after thread of "close it!!!!!!" which in no way got old after the 4,000th topic which was flooded by said quote.

You've probably noticed by now that I don't like negative people. jp is yet another one of those. He complains, moans and whines about everything. user contests, Ulti, Nintendo, whatever's going. Or rather did, he left and it seems to permanent.

Jimmy first struck me as a typical immature user. Good intentions but with a habit of saying really really dumb things. And that's ok. But then it became apparent all the various alts he was using across the board. And don't get me wrong some alts are awesome. Voldoman for example. But Jimmy's alts were woeful. Terdus being one of the better known ones which posted even less intelligent content than its username suggested. >_<
He got banned for something a while back and I dont think he's been heard from since. >_>

I'm fully aware that MYC does have problems but my judgement on her character is that even if she didn't she'd invent problems for herself. For someone who's so lonely and isolated its bizarre just how shallow she is. She desperately wants comforting about her appearance about her life and then 5 seconds later will tell any random person that they're hideous and they suck. Basically she's become the most selfish person on the board. She wants to talk about herself and nobody else. She's here for attention, for comfort. Not to talk about video games and certainly not to make friends, that's plain to see.
The transexual thing honestly disturbs me a little, I'm not all that open minded in that department tbh. The suicidal issues she has though worries me, but I'm going to stop trying to reach out to her since she just really doesn't seem to appreciate people who try to help her.

I never seem to know if I hate or love this guy. >_>
On one hand he's the best drama stirrer this place has ever seen. On the other trusting him is a grave error, he's really cold in his views on the internet. He reckon that nothing's taboo on the net. Faking your death, putting middle age women in hospital with stress then issuing death threats to her later. All fair game to Shake.
That and he doesn't really do anything these days other than boxing, poker topics with the occasional empty threat thrown in.

Really appropriately named since he's essentially a Naysayer. Not unlike Muffin or Ashe he's negative and constantly putting people down. Unlike them he's been around longer, is a LOT more subtle around it and doesn't seem to use attention as his motivation.

Slowflake for a long time was the user I liked the least. He whined, moaned, constantly called me out and just rubbed me the wrong way all too often.
But he said he was leaving for his own reasons last year and to his credit he did. One of my biggest gripes was how he used to constantly say he'd leave the place then return days later only to write another farewell speech days later. Well he stuck to his guns this time and respect for that.
I bumped into him not too long ago on the Pokemon trading board and it was kinda funny, glad there was no hostility! ^_^

As for the guy himself, lefty's fine, decent guy. He's one of those rare cases of a really really well known user who I've just been kept completly apart from. I don't think I've ever talked to him directly before and the topics he frequents seem to be mostly different to mine. I only really see him in user contests where he does well so guess I'm missing out. =P

When I first came to this board XIII was young, immature, innocent and friendly. A blast tbh. To put it in perspective he was a lot like GMUN is now. He was always into mischief, always a lot of fun and he was Kawaii/Ulti sex tape was hilarious. =P He was easily one of my favourite guys here.
Then he changed. He got angry, bitter and was very frustrating to be around. I got into some huge fights with him over time, a lot I deserved. I still think he's too edge and a little paranoid even though he really only frequents the soccer topic these days. Hopefully he'll face turn one of these days but I fear the old XIII is gone. =(

Been coming to the board on and off for as long as I've been here. I often think of him as being quite similiar to IhatethisCPU. A vet who's generally quiet and reserved. Doesn't hammer out too many topics or rattle many cages.

She was another user who I'd hurl the "outcast" label at with alarming haste. She was nice, friendly but generally not interested in the mainstream board 8 society. She had her group and stuck to that and still does. I've seen her on the Poke boards and occasionally on Board 8 these days though rarely on the latter.

Ashe seems to want me and most others to hate him so bad he'll probably be disappointed that this isn't going to be an entirely negative rant.
Ashe suffers from negativitis much the same as Muffin or wednesday or Naye or any of the others I've mentioned so far. He's bitter, angry and looks to constantly put everyone and anyone down anyway he can. And it's tough to sympathise with people who do that because it's difficult to understand why somebody comes to the same place day in day out just to slate everyone around them. Does Ashe hate us all? Doubt it.
On the rare occasions that Ashe is honest about himself and not ripping your e-head off, you'll find out that he's insecure, often confused and all round unhappy with who he is. And if you don't like yourself you won't be able to like anyone else, right? Though Ashe is probably too busy inventing witty counters and trash talk to take any of the above seriously. =(

Alright Moogle. Well he's a mixed bag. On one hand he's an entertaining late night user on the other he has a tendency to be a jerk all too much. He never stands out too much so it's hard to swing either way on him so I'll say that he has the potential to suck or be awesome at any given time.

As a site owner Cjay's great. As a person? Well he's not the most likeable. That's not to say he's unlikeable, he's just not very open or honest. He did his job well and that's that. I guess one could be a little miffed that he could just up and leave so suddenly without perhaps even frequenting the board. It looks to me like this place was becoming a chore for him and well that sucks.
When he left, impending doom was forecasted everywhere because lets face it Cjay was a good admin. But Allen's come in and brought some nice changes, in the contest, in features and he's even a but more active on the boards. Has he shown Cjay up a bit? Maybe a little. It contributes to Cjay not being remembered as quite the legend I thought initially.

Not sure what to think about this guy. He comes up with great opinions sometimes but is often really objective, I seem to be completely outside his circle too so I don't see a lot of him. *explodes*

When you put someone as well known as tranny below 285 other people you'd probably expect that I'd have some strong reasons to back that up. But really I don't, strong feelings is one thing I don't have about tranny. His pro's are slightly positive, his cons slightly negative. There's really nothing major I can say about him either way.
I think he's a very regular guy, he's into indie music, think he works in a hospital or something. Never really does anything very stand out. He's been a little friendlier to me lately, certainly nothing hostile between us anymore but I dunno I think we're way different and could probably never get on any better than averagely. =P
I keep mentioning middle of the line expressions and yeah that's how I see tranny. He's just there. Boring? Maybe a little but it's pretty unfair to say that about anyone seeing as they're not here on an entertainment contract.
Tranny's negatives are again slight. The whole lowercase thing might very well be his style just like ¬_¬ing is mine but it sometimes gives off this whole Icehawk air that he's trying intentionally to take the board less seriously than he does. Also the way he drags the clique to TT and their chat room. I'm generally not too fond of things that take traffic from Board 8.
Though I'd imagine tranny's a different guy on those 2 places. He's held in high regard by people who go there so It's fair to say he's a good friend to them and is probably a whole lot more interesting there. >_>

That said the other 2% shows the brilliance of SEP. Things like his poke playthrough and "The B8" OC parody are A++ awesome! n_n

HM's gone through phases. The fanboy phase was the worst but that ended when his account went down. He's now a bit quieter and a lot less annoying. But he still has the same problem. He's not social, at all. HM talks about 2 things, the contest and video games. That's it. Josh hasn't really had a good year on the board. Which is probably compensated by him having a great year in real life with his impending marriage to GP. But Josh himself is a cool guy who I probably never really hit it off with. I've talked to him sometimes on AIM before but it's kinda awkward to hold up a convo with him, with is really strange but I never find it awkward holding up a convo with anyone, bar maybe tranny, neon or some of them. Cliquitis I suppose.
Josh on the board lately has been really out of sorts too, popping up occasionally with a token "Hey luk I'm posting" style message giving the impressions that he's not really integrated with the board anymore and is struggling to get grips with the way it is.

Initial impression of Mershi was that he was this kid who was probably innocent and liable to say a bunch of cute niave stuff. Is that what actually happened? No. Mershiness is a devilish beast and I do not mean that in a good way.
He's foul mouthed, got a nasty ego which is growing by the day, he's game of choice is rape mafia and he's part of the virus that is MerSHINEsess. I guess those things are kinda funny when you think about them though even if they are odd. ^_^
But another issue I have with Mershi is his treatment of Cyclo. Cyclo was nuts about him and the impression I got was that Mershi acted like a complete prick towards someone who was opening up to him. Mershi's undoubtedly entertaining, and maybe I'm being a bit harsh here but he doesn't come across as being a very nice person.

Sess is a mixed bag. He's hilariously witty and a lot of the time lots of fun. his jokes are funny and his refusal to take anything anywhere serious owns.
But he has a habit on picking on easy targets and lately he's been even more whacked out than normal. and my god mershinesess jeez. -_-
In conclusion Sess is funny but messed up. Entertaining in a Luster, ertyu kind of way.

SHINE's a big name on the board yet he's probably IMO the most straightforward user on the board, he doesn't seem to have any complexities about him. I guess the main beef you could have with SHINE is that he'll spend months hyping something up then cease talking about it a day after it's released. -_-
But he does loads of cool stuff like the Kobe matches and he appreciates Kajet which is always good. <3

I know it's traditional to put a chick in this position (innuendo intended) but the few remaining can't be put on the wrong side of 50 so I've given it to the next best thing, the guy who probably obsessises about girls more than anyone here.
Saying Luster is an odd guy is liking stating winter is cold or Sess is talking ****. It goes without saying and stating it is almost a Lusterism in itself. Luster's totally honest, to a fault. Where he admits his deepest feelings to complete strangers, where he states the obvious time and time again and all too often makes an ass of himself by getting talked into silly things like that Kosmo interview.
But that's where his charm lies, that child like innocence coupled with really really vulgour thoughts makes for something awesome. Also Luster never gets insulted by anyone, just as well too. >_< But I can't get away from the feeling that Luster is just this sort of entertainment show. People feed him with energy drinks and Ryoko comments and sit back with popcorn watching his performance.
Does anyone talk 1 to 1 with Luster? Is anyone his friend? Does he ever actually talk about video games on this place or even the actual contest?
The more I think about it the more I think he is a mere internet drama machine. <_<;

People like Tombolo are positive most of the time, saying nice things about people, talking about constructive things like anime and generally y'know not trashing peoples opinions all day long.

DSR's home on the board is in the user contest domain, of which there can be no doubt. Is he e-pop driven? Yeah maybe. I heard he used to be some class of troublemaker before he went straight on the board but I can't comment on that never know him then. He's seems like a relatively friendly guy, runs great contests but I struggle to see him beyond the user contest scene, he just doesn't seem to get out there much.

He tends to stand out most to me when either Curt's launching a pathetic assault on him or he's sticking up for andy. oh yeah he was another guy I poke battled a good bit with, decent enough trainer good level to fight with!

And finally, Spoilers. Along with that he's a sonic fanboy! ^_^ This is a guy who simply couldn't be ignored.

Easily one of the most creative guys on the board. Zach's brought many great ideas to the board, the stickam fad, whatpulse, tried his own Rpg and most influential of all the board 8 wiki. Zach's been a part of many things that really has enhanced Board 8 so in that sense is similiar to aga.
As a person Zach his so-so. His overrated topics I'll say right now are well past their sell by date and just look like a thinly veiled excuse to rant for the sake of ranting to me. Also he never really seems that tuned in to the board, he tends to rather make his topics and have people flock to them than contribute to what other people do. But all in all a B8 asset.

Steiner is probably the most Clique user who's not in the Clique. He likes indie music, posts in lowercase and acts in a condescending attitude to most people. He's got this whole kind of Icehawk thing going on at the moment where he pops up reminding people that the internet is pointless every so often but he's still a pretty cool guy, good game taste and well he likes Kanye & LP so his music taste isnt THAT bad.
btw I promise this'll be the last write up where I mention the "Clique". <_<;

In sharp contrast to Zach and aga who had technical positives to the board, Palmer adds SOCIAL positives to the board. Palmer's kinda like a nighttime version of SHINE in that he's popping up everywhere with great enthusiasm. He's very friendly and seems to come up with the most random of antics virtually every night. ^_^ 3rd highest black guy on the list!

Ablion Hero is one of those very weird guys who I end up talking a lot with. =P
He's funny and cool and all but some of the stuff he comes out with jeesh. Random sonic furry porn, followed by his girlfriend naked followed by declerations of the wacky things he'd followed by admittance that he's spent the last 4 months doing nothing but WoW. Albion's an oddball but I <3 him for it! ^_^

My initial view of starcow was this. He's a furry and he's a friend of WVI, sweeping statements ahoy. He's loud, obnoxious with wild insane sexual habits that appear to dictate his life.
Then not knowing him whatsoever I casually told him so much of the above one day expecting him to react with some rape pun or something but instead he got really upset about it. I had totally misjudged him. ;-;
I think I'm in a better position to cast a more accurate judgement of starcow now. And well none of the above is accurate at all. starcow's a very shy and timid guy. He doesn't seem to have a thriving social life is even kinda withdrawn and nervous on the internet, he gives across a real submissive personality. Dead nice and very humble.

Ok cyclo cyclo cyclo. Well he's been here forever and has been someone I never paid much attention to until recently and we talk a lot, like every day. And my opinion is mixed on him.
Not to say that there's things I hate him for, there's not. He just has a number of flaws and problems that bug him.
First of all I'd say he's weak mentally. Not quite MYC level but I never get the sense that's capable of handling his problems competently. He talks about coming out to his friends, his low opinion of himself, that time he had an outburst on me because of something minor on BE2 and things like about Morshiness. And well he never has any confidence in himself at all, his self esteem is rock bottom. And that time he posted about killing himself on the board, I was honestly very scared.
What's especially bad about his situations is that I don't think Cyclo has any real issues other than his low opinion of himself. He's a healthy young guy, set up in college with lots of friends, y'know? It certainly doesn't sound like a hive of misery.
And I feel for him, I do. Because he's an awesome guy, friendly and great to converse with.

BE2ers aside what Naomi is that last remaining sliver of awesomeness that the PotD I debated ditching Board 8 for in the past still holds. She's Danish I believe rendering that Dragonair "best scandinavian" comment even more useless. >_>
While she only makes brief cameos on board 8 she's always friendly and fun to talk to. But she really kicks into gear on Potd. On the few occasions that I visit potd she seems to be that one spark of interest in a sea of dullness that just seems to have lost their community when Ail went.
When of her best moments was Shake esque drama of pretending to be pregnant and fooling practically the entire board despite the date being April 1st. Nice!

My like for like stems from one very rare quality he has on the board. Complete honesty. Not just honest to most people, honest to everyone including the likes of Vlado. Lasa gives everyone a chance and is never influenced by popular opinion. I suppose though if one were to simplify Lasa's existence on the board it would be to classify him as an opinion generator. He pops up here there and everywhere and gives his take on stuff of interest. He generally digs into drama from the sideline as opposed to getting entrenched in it and I see him as somewhat of a wise head for the board.

To quote the offspring. "Your one vice is that you're too nice!"
pika's been around for about 2 years now I think and she used to be my favorite user and she's still right up there. But like I draw issues behind people like Ashe for being negative all the time, I do the same for pika for being positive all the time.
I get the impression that pika's kinda insecure, there's very little interaction with other people and when there is it's generally impersonal. pika rarely if ever opens up about anything and it's rarely to know who someone really is if they never show their character.
Probably deputy leader of the crew since he and James played a big part in setting it up at the start. SNX7 also was maybe the main component for that great atmosphere around the UUL that doesn't exist today, there was smack talk, rivalries, a lot of fun and mostly centered around him. Then there's his MILF love, much like santa something that we all love to follow and smile at but secretly know isn't true. >.> But it's funny all the same. ^_^
I guess it's true to say that he wasn't that stand out a user when he was here but you only notice the void he leaves when he left. =(
36. Shaduln
Shaduln, professional shower taker and little known Vampire.
Friendly guy who's probably impossible for anyone to dislike not unlike say Palmer.
Also makes awesome fan fics, even if it was short lived and I never did get to cleave Turn in two. ;-;

Ah Zen, probably pretty strange, certainly really funny. Zen comes up with some really odd genius like those would you sex match pics or tim allen censored text. So in keeping with the weird and wonderful that defines him, he worships Katamari and has the prince in his sig. And naturally oddball ShadowHalo is his best friend. =P
34. Vlado
One of the silly thing this board does is claim that they hate Vlado and wish he'd leave yet still quote his engrish and inflate his topic post counts. I don't really buy that Vlado is hated on the board, it just seems the popular thing to say that you hate him. What is he most certainly is, is disrespected on the board. Vlado is the laughing stock and a total whipping boy.
That's one thing that must be made clear about his placement so high. I have much respect for the people around him, but Vlado? I have zero respect for him, which is something I say about virtually nobody around here. Heck even people like SmartMuffin has some small amount of respect. Vlado's respectless and as such what he says just doesn't matter at all, and good thing too since it's so farsical it's incredible. He implements these overly obvious balance techniques because he despises the powers that be on the board, their values and whatnot. He gives the impression that he hates everything held in regard by the board and loves everything overlooked and disliked by the board. Yet he never leaves despite probably having no friends on this place. So he's a hypocrite too. All these things make him sound awful and he is but he tips over the scale and dances so far past it that he's pushing into awesome territory with. Vlado is a great entertainer on the board, most of it unintentional which makes it even funnier.

No user has ever really divided me like andy has. On one hand there's great reasons to like him, on the other great reasons to loathe him. It's a lot easier to fall with the latter but here's my take on him.
First of all little known fact about andy, He's nearly 20. Most people think he's a petulant 14 year old due to in no small part because he acts like such. Then what's his excuse for his tantrums? Well when he first came to the board he quoted "social issues" and that he was going to use board 8 to improve them. Naturally we thought that he was just your typical kid outcast in school who's actually probably quite nice. But as time went on we got to saw the full extent of these "social issues".
When he's nice, he's very very nice. But you do something to annoy him and BOOM. There's no happy medium for andy, at any given time he either likes you or wants to Knife you. And when I say Knife you, that isn't a cute exxageration. He has litreally expressed a desire to hire a Sniper to do away with Turn and told me that therealosix "Deserved to Die". He doesn't mince words that's for sure.
So this is obviously a serious issue with him and one that probably doesn't deserve to be overlooked but I do anyway. I think andy's a nice guy just like an alarming other amount of people suffering from mental illness. He has solid interests in things I like and is fairly decent to chat with until he enters his psychotic moods. Why I wish Turn would just back off the guy given that he's the reasonable one in the rivalry who isn't dangling by a mental thread at all times. =/

Haven't known him all that long but he's made a good impact in the last couple of weeks on me. =P
My opinion of LHG is that he's basically andyman without the psychotic side effects. He's warm, friendly, easily excitied, probably too involved in the board and for those looking would come across as an easy target. Probably that BE2 avatar influencing but he does have that whole cute nerdy over analyising of everything going on. =P
One of the things he gets a lot of stick for is his grammar and well he's spanish and is pretty damn good considering it's a 2nd language. I could however so this combined with his naivety throwing LHG into big drama circles in the future.

One of the biggest weaboo's on the board. This guy lives breathes and probably eats Japan. o_0
He watches anime, goes to cons, worships japanesey rpgs and loves comic books. He's hardcore!
But really cool to talk to and gives complete anime newbs like me good advice! ^_^

To sum w_c up really really bluntly, I'd call him a little bit like an Inviso in training. He comes across as being very sexually confused. One day it's one thing, another something else. And also a bit lonely, that's what he seems to put across.
But he's generally very nice, open, good to talk to and a good friend to have.
Oddly he gets these strange power surges sometimes where he turns into a temporary jerk and then it wears off like the next day and he's even more confused at what's he's done than anyone else. =P
A name that's going to be unfamiliar to a lot of you because he sadly doesn't come around here anymore, but Das Drol made a big influence on me back when I was a newbie. In the middle of a 2003 board full of massive egos and drama mongers, I was a 15 year old who just wanted some cheap kicks. Das Drol was in the same mind which is and was unusual back then. I remember we had epic lulz from running "The Dare topic" together, which is pretty much like Jackass on the internet. Naturally we got banned for it (maybe several times) but it was hilarious. XD
Then he set me up with my Gmail account at a time when invites were scarce, the account I still use today. He was easily my favourite user in the early days. =)
28. Ayvuir
My ye olde rival since we had this strange habit of meeting in just about EVERY user contest and also were pretty evenly matched. Ayv's and tends to visit the board in spurts. He's friendly to talk and has a real creative side to him coming up with some great projects like the Board 8, His Top 100 effort, the one vote contest, Guess who, and his RPG. Also little known fact but it is Ayvuir and not yazzy who was the inventor of the UUL. A serious contender for most creative user on the board.
27. Kawaiifan
Not to mince words here. If it wasn't for Kawaii I would have left board 8 long ago and never returned. So you have here to blame. =P
The reason? Simple. When I was a kid in school I had restricted internet time to only weekends. Kinda hard to do what I do on the board when all your projects will be purged in 5 days time. And at first it was insanely frustrating and I was going to give up since I didn't care about talking with board 8'ers back then so contests were the only reason I was here. Kawaii stepped in and saved my topics for my every time, which was a huge help. ^_^
And that sums her up for what she did for loads of people here, she helped them out. There's never been a more selfless person on the board. The day she left was probably the only time the board seriously threatened to tear apart.
26. ExThaNemesis
Ulti, Chris and many others have sang his praises many times so there's not exactly anything new I can add about Ex that hasn't been already said before. =P
But he's a genuinely nice dude, he's friendly, positive without being all Kirby & Cookies. Has some interests like every sport in existence, wrestling, pokemon. A nice range.
I could go on all day but it still probably won't make up for the e-*****slap that is being ranked being swoft. Sorry Exxy. ^_~
25. Icehawk
The hawk's a strange beast, mainly because of the wild character shift he's done since last year. Last year he was captain serious business. He was in and cared about EVERY user contest, he sucked up to people, participated in stuff etc all in the name of building an e-popularity base. I even remember him doing pre-tallies of Ayvuirs Top 100 user thing (which had 100+ votes) because he was that gosh darn excited about performing well in a user list. And I'm not one to LOL at people for going too in depth into the board because well that'd be hypocritical.
But once Icehawk had won everything and played the popular user scene, something in him tweaked and he began a whole new persona on the board. Ironically one that mocked everything his old persona did. To say he plays the lol internet card a lot is an understatement, it'd be more accurate to state that his entire e-life deck is comprised of nothing BUT lol internet cards. It's all he does, he types in lowercase to make it look like he doesn't care, mocks those who care too much and then anytime he wants advice or something serious he feels he has to justify it. It's odd.
To sum up, he refuses to take anything seriously including himself. But it's not really a flaw.
His pro's are obvious, he is hilarious hence why I thought for so long he was Voldoman. He comes up with some simple yet awesome jokes like the whole "Karma or sex" thing that spiralled out of control the other day, he's unique in that sense of humour.
And I promise this'll be the last write up where I slate someone for two paragraphs and then explain why they're up so high in one line. =P
24. SonicTheLegend
STL, the guy who probably should be my alt but isn't. STL's outlook on the board is different than most, I get the feeling that he actually WANTS to be a lurker as he regularly says he's going to stop posting and lurk instead. Dunno why, I've never understood lurkers. >_>
STL's major claim on this list was his introduction of MINI PUTT to the board. He is and has been like the leader for that circle and when it was at his peak that was awesomely addictive way to spend an evening. =P
23. Do not even ask
DNEA is this totally wacky Canadian who makes zero sense in everything he does BUT THAT'S OK. He's funny, lively and a cool guy to wind up and get wound up by. He never really takes anything seriously, and not in a condescending Icehawk kind of way but in a spirit that reminds me of everything that made 2003 great. Good wit, jokes and good fun all round.
22. The Hardcore Kid
One of the most creative users on the board, but also one of the most overlooked. He'd be up higher if he didn't visit once every other month. =(
Hardcore's #2 black guy on the list and #5 Brit. So he's like a double minority or something. And like many other people on the higher end of this list I used to fight with him on the board a couple of years back but we're cool now. ^_^
Hardcore's big into TV, actually HUGE into TV. He knows everything about nearly every soap, every comedian and reality tv show. It's damn impressive! Also he's big into Sonic and does this huge long running soap opera fic with Inviso. Reminds me of a cross between Home & Away and Sonic, if only they made a real show out of it. =P
21. Twilight the Fox
Twilight easily has the most furry name on the board, but he's actually quite a normal person compared to the extreme weirdness of most other furries... Even though calling someone a "normal furry" is a massive contradiction. <_<;
And while I STILL think he's responsible for DLO, Twilight's a really cool guy. I got to know him pretty well during the whole poke craze where we fought a lot and he challenged the gyms and stuff. It was fun! He's on BE2 now and is maybe a bit of weaboo but nothing too wild like MetaRidley!

If Forsaken is the Solarshadow of user contests then yazzy is the Ulti. He didn't invent it or popularize but he did kick it into gear. Yazzy's done what hasn't really done before on a mostly American board, introduce a soccer style league system. Now in a place where the majority of people don't understand the term "Round Robin" this was obviously going to be a challenge, both for himself maintaining it and to get the picture across to people. A task which Ayvuir couldn't hack, yazzy though? yazzy was a hard grafter and stuck into the project turning it into a huge year long league which is essentially part of the board now. I've been on the board a long time and I have to say that UUL is the best run project ever and quite possibly the best single thing Board 8 has ever had.
That said it's not without flaws. The main being that it's suffered from having a too dedicated following resulting in way too much circle jerking. That's a turn off to a lot of people so some quarters of the board has never really touched it and in recent times Cliquers have pulled away from it.
Back to yazzy though, and the primary "complaint" people have with him is that yeah he's the UUL guy but does he do anything else? Well yeah he does, but not a huge lot else. However when approached he's very social and never brushes people off like pikaness or half the statsheads when questioned about stuff unrelated to their field. Any time I've talked with him he's always been a very nice guy, very positive and surprisingly to some for a big user contest is very casual in his approach to user contests.
19. BIGPUN9999
My favorite outlet of abuse is the token hispanic here. =P
BIGPUN was this guy who I didn't know much about for a long time, I think he gave me a Cudo account or something some time but that was about it. Then when I was making Rising Stream he caught my attention, because he signed up as Leo and was really enthuastic about the project. Which is why I did it in the first place and it was great to have a big fan like that for the game! His character probably ended up being the best character in it as he a) was on screen for longer than 10 minutes, b) had a kickass personality.
Aside from Rpg Maker Punny is always fun to tease with Hammer and Latino jokes. ^_~
18. Dragonsfury
The guy who compltes the retro tri-pillars of DF, Das Drol and Kawaii. Dragonsfury was another guy who made an immediate impact on me when I arrived in 2003 and unlike the other 2 I mentioned has actually remained a regular on the board since. He's a quiet user so I'd expect most people at best to recognise him by name without knowing too much about him.
He's not much of a social user instead focusing on the contest side of the board. Good game taste too. Fire Emblem and Sonic. ^5
Also he used to always play the rpg games I used to make, he was a great help in getting them off the ground! ^_^
17. Mega Mana
The nicest, friendliest person on the board? Quite possibly. Mana is the professional nice guy around the place, he's got the <(^.^<)ness of pika with the depth of Bellis. Unlike Dragonsfury Mana's as social as they come and has a nice word to say about just about everybody! Witty too, without it being sarcastic sneering wit that's all too common. He gives across the impression that he's a little lonely in real life, which is strange since he's such a nice guy!
He's also big into the TV scene so uh LOST bonus points. n_n
Ulti nowadays is a very down to earth guys. He spells things out bluntly and there's no kidding around with him. It's pure honesty and I like that. His role on the board has changed dramatically from the tyrant he was previously. (If you were around then you'll know that calling him a tyrant was not an exaggeration). There's so many unanswered questions about Ulti back then, stuff that he just really talk about anymore. Like did he really take Board 8 as seriously as he appeared? Was he the owener of shin ramza, an alt that did nothing but suck up to him? Did he hate Kawaiifan because he was jealous?
But I suppose they don't matter, Ulti now is very approachable and very easy to talk to. I'm glad he dragged himself out of the spotlight, it's probably done him a lot of good, although even still he seems to have a lot of personal problems. <_<;
But what I love most about Ulti is that ability he has to turn a topic completly on it's head. He can enter any thread at will and because he has authority and the ability to make incredibly blunt sweeping statements he can cause an uproar at will. =)
15. Swift
When I first noticed Swift it was through stories of Ulti meeting him and the inevitable "who the **** is swift?" questions. Turns out he was this link2dapast guy who after observing him for a while noticed he was the biggest suck up on the board, even to Vlado. I mean who sucks up to Vlado? >_<
So first impressions weren't favourable, lets say that. >_>
But during the last UOTY I got to know him a little better. He reminded me in a lot of ways of Icehawk, I think he cared too much about e-pop (although nowhere near as much as the hawk) and seemed very eager to make a name for himself on the board. But he relaxed on that front not long after and then I suppose I got to know the real swoft. And he was awesome!
Down to earth, blunt guy who keeps nothing to himself. Observe.

14. Ed Bellis
Probably the undisputed most respected person on the board, which is no easy feat. Everyone has their haters and maybe I just haven't seen them yet but I've never seen anyone hating on Bellis.
He's the highest cliquer and also the highest who I don't talk to on AIM, which says something about his impact!
Bellis comes across as a friendly but also a very interesting character. To call him a pikaness esque nice guy is totally misleading as he's much more complex than that. Maybe a little too complex as I've heard he's had some psychological issues but ANYWAY. He's big into analaysing users, what makes the board tick etc. The psychology of the board, and he also pops up everywhere with helpful advice. That and he brought his mom to Board 8, that's pretty awesome! =P
Like I mentioned above, he has had depression issues but the way he handles compared to some other people. MYC among others come to mind demonstrates his strength of character. There's no whining about how cruel life is or looking to soak up symphaty at every turn. He handles it and handles it well.

Can't believe I have you only at 13, placings got really tough. Sorry!
realosix, TokenblackGuy, BesaidGuy. Whatever you want to call him. First impressions of him was that he was just some troll. Maybe those were accurate, but he's an awesome troll as I'd find out later. <3
Second impressions was that we had a lot in common. We both adore Kanye, board drama and Final Fantasy X. Though osix maybe a little too much on the latter, I remember how in depth he went to try and assure me that Tidus screwed Yuna in that lake scene. >_>
But yeah second impressions was that he was a cool guy who was here for the lulz.
Third impressions was that well he was a cool guy here for the lulz WITH DEPTH. Read any of his list topics and it's not hard to see the scale he examines things he's interested in. Look at his Kanye topic for example, he ignores exterior and breaks apart each song word by word analyising it to the max.
As well he showed to have a psychological side too, showing pity and trying to help MYC and at one point andy, which isn't something I expected.
Plus he's from Vegas which has casino and the killers so bonus points for that. n_n
12. CrimsonOcean
Easily my favourite Lesbian on the board. (>^.^)><3
Crim's a fun person to joke around with and always good for some lulz. She's never on the board for hours on end though she does talk about personal things from time to time so doesn't suffer from pleinair symptom (terminal btw). I think she's in college now doing law IIRC, I say I think because she doesnt really talk about it much or at least as much as people like Luster who mention said fact every other hour.
She's done some neat stuff too, like spearhead the board 8 train at its peak (speaking of which, GET ON AIM MORE. This is a Smurf order. ¬_¬) and made a fan fic which turned TUM into a rapist or something, he didnt appreciate that. >.> But I thought the fic was funny!
She's friendly, sweet and to be blunt you're a complete tool if you don't like her. ^_^;
11. Guessmyusername
Probably the main guy who's really made an impression on me in recent months. GMUN's often criticised because he's immature and gullible. And well he is, but I don't see those as a bad thing. =P
GMUN's a lot of fun to take to, to tease and just to converse with. Our discussions are never dull, whether it be furry accusations, discussions of his theatrical e-love life or just setting each other up!
As a person I'd say he always seems closer to drama than to common sense. Too many times has he spilled things I've told in confidence to others and the same from others to me. Trustworthy isn't really a characteristic of his. <_<;
And then there's the pikaness thing. GAH. The process was silly and the conclusion sad so I don't even want to go into that. But still it's all kinda cute and funny. ^_~
All in all GMUN's one of the most fun guys on the board and refuses to take anything seriously. Even some really heavy subject matters. >_>
10. Sir Chris
I always lump Chris in with Shake and Ulti to form this kind of trio of users I remember from 2003. Not just their beginnings but also because I've played tennis in my head over the years as to whether I like or hate each of them. It's gone both ways at times, though I've settled down in recent times and two of them fell on the right side of the court.
It's easy to see why somebody might not like Chris, because he's arrogant. But unlike everyone elses "flaws", Chris embraces and exxagerates his arrogance to turn it into his main trait on the board, and really if you get caught by it you don't know the guy. =P
Though I thought it strange the other day when Ayvuir highlighted Chris as being a social user, I've never really thought that about him. Anti-social maybe. >_>
Chris has his close circle of friends, The ExTha's, the Sytha's, the red's. Who he not only treats well but thoroughly respects, and its that respect thats probably harder to win with him than any other user. He often treats newbies like complete trash, poking and provoking them to see what kind of reaction he can get from them.
But when you get to know him, Chris is dead on. Very honest and very trustworthy. Which is such a rare thing on the internet, I honestly could never see Chris betraying friends here and I wonder how many I can see that about, even people higher up on this list.
9. Alanna82
Probably the oldest friend I have on this place, I remember when I used to get into e-fights with alarming regularity Lan was often there defending me, really the only one at the time and that was swell. I like her game taste too, it's primarily RPG based with splashings of music but that's about all she talks about. But that's enough and she knows all about nearly every hardcore RPG on the market which is useful if you need to know what's what!
Lan's role on the board in the last year or two has been different. I think she liked the Ulti wars and such that happened when she was here all the time so she's sorta calmed it down to just making contests and occasional comments.
8. sephsblade
I don't think there's a user out there who makes me lulz quite like sephsblade. He has this awesome sense of humour that's just completly random and honestly very unappreciated. Obsessions with lolcats and Terry aside he seems very smart and comes up with some killer wit, albeit not as showy as say Aeon.
Aside from his hilarity he's an awesome guy to talk to, he knows about a lot of Irish things (omg shane) and for a while was sort of like my Pokemon guru as I wasn't ever really into Pokemon in that kind of depth so he taught me his ways and even trained a killer T Tar for me. n_n
The most honest and probably most decent person on the board. TUM's a mega nice guy and probably the guy I'd trust more than anyone else here.
But with his niceness comes a very sheltered naivity. He's secretive about his business and honestly I'd say way way way too secretive for his own good. To the point where he barely posts on board 8, because he has nothing to say. There's virtually zero social instinct to him. He has his friends, then nothing. You're either a close personal friend of his or chances are you barely know he exists.
Also with TUM is a common beef with GMUN. The sheer silly amount of time they give to pikaness blind to deceit and the callous shoulder again and again. Something I really don't like to see from somebody like TUM who issues out unconditional affection. He could probably do with having a better trust criteria, he'd get hurt less often. =(
6. MajinZidane
The guy I talk to more than anyone on AIM! Majin's awesome if not kinda all over the place. He has a tendency to ramble about the most random of things and thats kinda funny. As is the making topics for him running joke and his own personal Sport MajinBall.
Plus he's from Michigan and for some reason I <3 all things Michigan apparently.
oh and his gaming taste is good too with FF9, even if he can't decide the rest of his list. <_<;
5. TurnTurnTurn
Turn's a lot more like the people I hang with in real life rather than the people I talk with on the net. He's down to earth, straight forward, no BS and frankly a total and complete nub. In a good way of course. =P
He's actually one of the most simple people here in terms of personality, there's no great complexities about him which is nice for a change. He attacks andy and often calls a lot of the easy targets around the board and yeah I can understand why. Turn comes here for fun and fun only and I think he gets that.
IRL he certainly sounds like he has a drinking problem, well maybe not problem but addiction. Which is kinda funny to hear all about.
I don't like his disrespect for wild beasts and andy on tirade...actually the former sums both up. But meh I can accept that, one thing I can say about Turn is that he's honest and never picks the controversial opinions for controversy sake.
4. Ryoko
Like Turn, ashley's one of those rare beasts on this place that I can actually relate to them being like a person in real life. She's a fun pretty normal girl talking about wild nights and sucky work and whatnot. She's called emo a lot but honestly I think she's the opposite, I've heard her talking about her life for ages now and it does sound harsh. She's had to contend with limited games finance, awkward family situations, being unable to graduate to go with her friends to college, stuck in a job she doesn't like, having her long term dog fall to illness and being unable to afford the operation. And at the end of all that forking over all she's got to make her little sis's christmas dreams come true with a wii. I poke fun at her all the time but I've got a lot of respect for yokes.
3. Jay
Jay's an awesome dude to have around. That is when he's not being KingJim and sabotaging my tournaments. ¬__¬
But Jay's incredibly positive, friendly and always fun to chat with.
Jay hooks me up with loads of DS games and his selling of the flash cart is what got me into that whole area, so thanks a bunch Jay. You saved me a lot of cash. n_n
Fun to play around with too like the setups he's made for GMUN and Clover in the past. And he's the only guy I know who actually likes Ashe, thats how tolerant a guy he is!
His spinarak love is a little hmm hmm and to be honest if that's the biggest flaw I can come up about you, then well you know you rock. =P
You were going to be number one until I started writing the other persons write up and realised there was too many reasons to leave him/her off the number one spot. Sorry James, that's how close you came. =P
On my AIM list of frankly dodgey and strange discussions, James is that one shimmer of normality there (Turn & Ryoko are never on). Like Turn James is fairly straight forward. He's a regular young English guy with awful music taste. But that aside me and James have a lot of things in common.
For one we both like soc...oh fine FOOTBALL. Even though he has bad team support and somehow manages to do poorly in the fantasy league, which is a great mystery since he does make what seems like reasonable changes. o_0
Then his game taste is good too, with FFX being his latest kick.
And he's big into Futurama too which I found out the other day. n_n
Overall James is just fun to chat with, he's friendly, genuine and there's no BS with him. Though he's quite reserved and moderate in his views which begs the question how he wound up here. =P
1. Inviso
A year ago when I was describing Alli, I called her this package of mystery that I didn't really understand. I think now, I do.
I'd say she's hands down the most interesting user on this board, very little is conventional about her.
The easiest way to describe how I see her character is to compare her to one of her favourites. Freya. Furry jokes aside, they are a lot alike. Vissy's stubbornly strong with a loner mentality. Sometimes I get the feeling she'd rather push people away than drag them in.
But hearing her life and her problems, which to be honest is nothing too heavy. Left an outcast at school and feeling in college is as bad as it gets, which is hard for anyone. And if that was MYC, Cyclo or 90% of Board 8 they'd whine moan and emo about it all day long around here. Heck even James does it "blah blah french girl likes french guy wtf!?!?". But Vissy? She doesn't, she deals with stuff like this herself, she never whines complains or moans (well at least the emo kind of moan. =P). In that respect she's very very strong.
Combined with that, she's got awesome razor sharp wit Her music taste is a little too girly for me and her gaming taste too macho. But there's some gems mixed in there like Klonoa and Pokemon.
Also she's an excellent writer. Her battle royal was some graphic **** but damn it was vivid and amazing writing.
I could go on all about what I like about her but lets balance things out. There's 2 things I don't like about her.
One, is the whole way she handles Vlado. I think it's plain to see that she does it pretty badly. >_>
Anytime Vlado posts she's there pouncing on him objectively, I just get the feeling like she's never got over him and anytime she launches an assault on him the only one who's really getting the upper hand is Vlado.
The other thing is a lot more complex and difficult to stop. Her fursonas. These wildly confident sex driven furries that Vissy assumes the role of from time to time. The furry fandom isn't my thing but there's nothing wrong with that per se, it's the why more than the how. She says that she doesn't like herself, and that's something I never like anyone to say. And that she uses these characters as her escape. Honestly I'd much rather she the real her than her extravagent creations.
But those are minor quibbles in an otherwise great user. Congrats vissy you've won this elusive prize again. n_n
