Board 8 NFL Picks Contest

The Board 8 NFL Pick'Em Contest began in Fall of 2004 by The Raven 2. Not only is it considered to be the best thing The Raven 2 has contributed to Board 8, it's also considered to be one of the best long-running contests on the board as well. The contest takes place during the entire NFL season. Over 30 users predict who will win games every week, and the 12 that predict the best at the end of the season qualify for the playoffs. Once in the playoffs, the remaining 12 are paired against each other in the same fashion of the NFL Playoffs until two are remaining for the Superbowl, where one will be crowned the Board 8 NFL Champion.  Raven ran the league all the way up to the 2013-14 season and resigned afterwards due to pursuing a career with the military.  th3l3fty has ran the league since, starting with the 2014-15 season.

2008-09 Season

In 2008, the league took a huge step by having over 60 people sign up. Raven 2 decided to split the league into two separate rosters, with MechaSolidSnake being selected to run Conference B. In the final two weeks of the regular NFL season, Conference B went under and only had data up to week 11. MSS was unavailable to find a solution, so Raven 2 did a short wrap-up of Conference B using the records they had after week 11.

At the end of the fifth Board 8 Pick-Em Contests, The Raven 2 announced that sign-ups for the sixth contest would be in August of 2009. Raven is looking to have no less than 40 and no more than 50; no conference A/B this time, and six spots are being reserved. Four spots for those who made it to the Superbowl for their conference, and the two who were ranked #1 for the regular season in their conference.
