Castlevania (the series) appeared in the Spring 2006 Contest, which determined the Best. Series. Ever. The series first started in 1987 on the NES, and has produced roughly 20 games so far in its life, the flagship title being Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. It was expected to bow out to Halo in the first round, despite being the higher seed and having support across all generations of gamers. It pulled the first round upset over Halo (also the biggest upset of the contest) and gave Kingdom Hearts a great fight in the following round.
