Half-Life is the name of the revolutionary PC FPS series staring Board 8 hero Gordon Freeman.
The first game in the series competed in the '04 Game Contest, where it put up a surprisingly good fight against the heavily favored Metroid Prime. Because Prime went on to have a good showing against Wind Waker, HL1 ended up earning a very respectable 22nd place finish on the final 2004 x-stats.
In the '09 Game Contest, things were even more unfortunate for Half-Life, which got stuck in round 1 against Ocarina of Time and Final Fantasy IX.
