LittleBigPlanet is a platformer for the PS3, developed by Media Molecule and published by Sony in

LittleBigPlanet

2008. The primary focus of LBP is on user-generated content, though the surreal visual style and likeable Sackboy character also help the game stand out from competing platformers. Though it's proven to be rather polarizing on Board 8, the title received overwhelmingly positive reviews from the press, even managing to receive a rare "Perfect" score from Edge Magazine (a notoriously harsh gaming publication); and though sales were initially mediocre, LBP eventually went on to sell several million copies worldwide.

In the Spring 2009 Contest, LittleBigPlanet made its contest debut, where it was SFFed into the ground by PS3 killer app Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. It returned for 2010's Game of the Decade contest, and once again, it failed to make it past Round One; Grand Theft Auto III defeated it in convincing fashion.
