Max Payne

Max Payne is the hero of the series that bears his name. Beyond this, few know anything about Max Payne except that his name sounds like "max pain," which means "the most pain that you could possibly ever feel in any given instance." The mere thought of "max pain" can intimidate even the bravest GameFAQs users. This is no doubt the reason why he beat Gordon Freeman in 2003 (though GFNW may also have had something to do with it).
